I was wondering whether there are different admission officers for each college in Cornell. i.e. CALS and CAS have separate admission officers who choose their prospective students separately.
Thanks

Each college has its own admissions office.

so that means if I'm applying to CALS, the other colleges wouldn't look at it right?
thanks for all the help!

IF you have an alternative school, the primary school can read your alternative essay as well, and it sounds like you are trying to avoid the other colleges.

not avoid. it's mainly because both essays sound rather similar to each other.

you are allowed to have some overlap in your essays, but make sure your essays ARE SPECIFIC TO EACH COLLEGE! dont just do a copy and paste essay on why you want to do, for instance, biology. make each essay unique

My problem mainly was whether the one college would see the other essay because i dont want (i.e. CALS seeing that i want to own my own business when in College of Human Ecology i wrote i wanted to become a doctor) and think i'm being fake about it.
