could i send the admissions office a revised version of my main essay that I sent in for ED?

I don't think so, but you can write them a letter and update them on new achievements and awards. Don't think they'd like to read another essay though.

yeah, i want to send in a new essay because my original essay will not get me accepted in the RD round..... my intent would be to have them throw out the old one and put the new, much better one in its place, or whatever. don't know if i should take the risk though. i would probably annoy them a lot.

their main focus will be on the extra information that you have sent in. they want to see that you are continuing to be involved in school (whether through extracurricular activities or doing well in academics) even in your senior year. and i doubt that they will read your essay again.

another question.
when ig ot deferred by columbia, i was majorly bummed and skipped that friday. i sat at home and had a self-pity party. as a result, i didn't participate in a discussion online at an online forum for my ap lit class, and i got a zero. I now have a 80 in ap lit. should i tell admissions this, or will i look like an incompetent fool?

um in my opinion, that would sound like you're trying to make excuses for yourself. your grades are what they are. try to talk to your lit teacher though...

question: should I send in an extra teacher's rec from a college professor? I will have completed the course by Monday. I guess it's a different perspective...

don't think that you should be sending anything other than new accomplishments
