Supplemental Information?

Hi everyone!

This weekend I went to a regional science fair and got 1st place in my category. I know admissions results are coming out around next week, would it still be helpful to update Tufts with these results? With admissions decisions coming out so soon, are they already decided upon (which means there's no point to send my results) or could these results possibly influence my decision positively (denied to waitlist, waitlist to acceptance, etc.)?

Any insight is appreciated! Thank you!

I think that it’s probably too late. They have more likely than not already decided on you. However, I would email your regional representative and tell them anyway, saying that you know it’s really late in the game. There’s no reason not to!

Thanks for the input! You’re probably right about the decision. I might email my regional representative and let them know, so at least I won’t have that lingering “what if” in my mind.

I would definitely email the regional representative! If the decision is already made they obviously won’t change it based on the email, but you never know if sending the update could work in your favor.

At this point - hold you email. Congrats on your finish, but there’s we’re too far into the process for an update to impact an application. Plus, I suspect that the qualities that let you succeed at the science fair are already reflected in your application.

Thank you for the advice! With only about a week left until decisions are released, I’ll just wait with fingers crossed for good luck. If I’m waitlisted, I can always update Tufts then, with everything I’ve been up to since applying. Thanks again! :)

anyone heard from Tufts yet?? regular decision kids?!

Nothing yet. Watching the paint dry. I wish I could send my adrenals on vacation for a week or so. (Insert sound of water dripping here).
