I know Yale suggests you send the entire paper rather than just an abstract, but I can't find any preference like that on Harvard's site. Because it's a bit time-consuming to create an alternative commonapp version to send Yale the full paper, I was wondering if Harvard cares whether I submit the entire paper?

Let me put it this way: they’re not going to dock any points if you submit the entire paper rather than the abstract. Harvard’s admissions office isn’t petty like that.

Send the entire paper and it can’t hurt you at least.

It probably won’t matter at all if you send the entire paper, but if you’re worried about it it’s really not that time consuming to create an alternative commonapp. All your answers get saved, so the only thing you have to do is upload the documents again.

Send the full paper. If they’re considering admitting you, they will send whatever it is to the appropriate faculty to evaluate, and a paper is much more helpful than an abstract.
