Supplemental materials . . . Writing Sample??

I am applying as a transfer student (currently a sophomore in college) and one of the colleges i am applying to , university of pittsburgh, says i can submit supplemental information. I am already submitting 2 recommendation letters, and a personal essay. So what else can I send? The only think i could think of is a writing sample. So i have one particular essay in mind. It is about 10 pages in length (is that too long?) and I put a great deal of work into it. It is from last semester. Tell me if this would be a wise idea, and if so should I mail it or email? If this is a bad idea, or even if not, what else can I send that would potentially increase my chances of admission?

u should call each individual adcom. I know stanford hates it, but some womens colleges love it.
