I just received a supplemental questionnaire from UC Davis and I wanted to know if people in the past who have gotten this ended up going in. I also wanted to know about people who have received this form and have not gotten in.
Thank you!

I haven’t heard of this. I am also an Applicant. What do they ask you? What are your stats/major?
@QwertyuiopPro I received this email also! I believe that it’s called “augmented review” which means you are a student who has faced difficulties/hardships, encompasses a special talent, or is borderline academically. I mentioned some personal hardships on my app so the supplemental questions I received focus largely on elaborating on any extreme personal or socioeconomic hardships. It just means they want to clarify and give you a higher chance of acceptance. If the questions focus lately on grades/academic performance I would think you’re borderline so it’s very beneficial to fill out and include the teacher rec!! It can only help, but if you didn’t receive it, it means you don’t have anything to specify for them. However, emails are sent out over a few weeks time I believe but if not it usually means you’ve already been accepted/denied and aren’t in that gray area. Not receiving one isn’t necessarily bad, best of luck.
mine has six questions about leadership roles and then asks for my grades this semester. Which category do you think this would fall into @azbruin8
@clidethespy Well I couldn’t say for sure without knowing your stats or the exact nature of the questions. If you lacked in ECs and had okay grades it may be a borderline case, but since it’s asking specifically about leadership roles I’d assume the opposite is the case and that you took up clubs in your spare time. Most likely you noted this on your app and they would just like to better highlight or understand your accomplishments. If you won any awards in conjunction with these leadership positions I would think you fall under the talent category, but again I’m not entirely sure. Only you know how your academics and ECs measure up overall, from then you could probably reach the decision one way or another. Sorry I wasn’t able to provide a direct answer but I hope this helps!
You should all take this time to go back and carefully review your application and essays to see what you mentioned that needs further explanation. Your chances of acceptance remain the same, but this is a new opportunity to provide more details about yourself. Approach your answers with the same consideration as your initial application. Good luck!
What are your stats? It sort of depends
Do not listen to those on CC that try to marginalize your standing by calling you borderline. If you received a supplemental Questionnaire from any UC, the decision has yet to be made. Hopefully you performed well in your classes and have positive news to report about your 7th semester grades. They would not be asking for more information if they did not believe you showed academic promise. Stay positive, answer thoughtfully. And keep your grades up. You are more than your stats, this is your chance to show them! Review your application to see what triggered this questionnaire. Then your response will be in better context.
For anybody reading this in the future, I got rejected even though I got one of these forms. Although it is definitely not bad to get one, it doesn’t mean you’re in for sure.
