So I am planning on applying to the Faculty of Language and Linguistics at Georgetown, so my teacher recommendation is supposed to be from my Latin teacher. However, my history teacher/faculty advisor for the school newspaper knows me better than my Latin teacher and would write a stronger recommendation. Should I ask him to submit a supplemental rec? I couldn't find anything on Georgetown's website about this and I tried e-mailing them but they never responded.

They never responded? Oooh, that’s rude. You could try emailing them again, they might have overlooked your email.

I would send in the extra rec. I’m sending a supplementary one, too. One rec is just not enough! lol

I sent an extra recommendation. They don’t mind if it truly shows a different side of your application. If you think that your latin teacher can present an academic side of you and your newspaper advisor can present you as a leader/great writer/invaluable asset, then send it for sure (make sure they know what you want them to focus on). If you think they are going to say they same thing, just send one.
