Hello! First time post in this MIT board!

I'm applying online, and I'm looking all over for some kind of cover sheet or something for a supplemental rec. What should I do?

Much love!

Hello! First time post in this MIT board!

I'm applying online, and I'm looking all over for some kind of cover sheet or something for a supplemental rec. What should I do?

Much love!

I just gave my mentor a cover sheet which had my full name, date of birth, and high school name on it with SUPPLEMENTAL RECOMMENDATION in all caps at the top.

Worked for me.

Ok, thank you! I was afraid there was an "Official Form" that I just was not seeing.

Congrats ducktape! It seems like you and I were in the same boat- UChicago and MIT as top choices! I only applied EA to Chicago though (Accepted wooo!), and am (obviously) doing RD for MIT.

haha, Thanks. I thought you were hard core UChicago, though. Are you still applying to MIT just to compare aid, then?

Well, I'm pretty obsessed with Chicago, but I didn't want to "openly" obsess about MIT since it is much reachier than Chicago. But since I am in at Chicago, who knows? :) The possibilities seem a little more. . . possible.

I really liked it when I visited (the "quirkiness" factor seems on par with Chicago) so if I get in, I'll probably have to visit both again and stay over and visit classes to see, since I visited both during the summer when "real" student life wasn't going on.

As for aid, I'm not really thinking about that now (except filling out forms of course). If it costs more to go to where I want to go, I'll probably go there anyway (not that I'm fabulously wealthy or anything).

LOL hard CORE UChicago. I couldn't help but notice.

Haha, I didn't even catch that myself.

All right, makes sense.

the quirkiness at MIT utterly pwns that at UChicago! :P

BTW. . . can I do the same thing for CommonApp things? I can't see a specific form there either. . . .

Yeah, that's what I did.
