<p>I have a recommendation letter for my supervisor who I interned for over summer. For common app schools like chicago, usc, northwestern, etc, how am i supposed to send in the rec. Do I tell my supervisor to contact the school?</p>

<p>First go to the college websites and see if they have instructions for supplemental materials.</p>
<p>If not, be sure that your supervisor includes this type of information at the top of the LOR: label that it is a supplemental LOR, your full name as used on your application, student ID # if the college has given you one, DOB, HS name and location.</p>
<p>No need for your supervisor to contact the schools.</p>
