<p>A coach for one of my ECs wants to write me a Letter of Rec., and so does my town's Rec. Director. Would it be awful if I sent both?</p>
<p>If they are both familiar with you in different contexts and would have meaningful and unique insights and comments to add to those of your teachers, two supplemental recs would be OK. I think two supplementals is pretty much the max, though.</p>
<p>I agree with 2 supplements being the maximum you should send in, although I’m only sending in one.</p>
<p>It’s ridiculous to send in a lot, it makes them lose meaning; (eg some kid sent in 42 rec letters! to JHU and wasn’t accepted) It’s the quality, not the quantity that matters.</p>
