so i want to send in this 8 pg research paper that I did on JP Morgan and the central banking system. i want to major in economics, so i thought this would help, esp since my school doesn't really offer extracurrics that relate to the major.

i got an A on the paper and it was nominated for a prize, and i probably worked on the paper for a good 4-6 months? should i send it?

Where was it recognised? If only in school and maybe a regional thing then no. What prize was it nominated for?

Supp materials need to be excellent… Far beyond the level most people attain at school. Research published in a journal, at a conference etc etc… I would define it as a high schooler achieving at the level of an average university junior or higher.

it was prize (history) at my school but I didn’t win it, and Harvard seems to really like the students from our school (competitive private). and my teacher said its definitely college level writing.

From what you’ve written, I strongly recommend that you don’t send it, because it could hurt your application. I’m an econ major, though, so if you feel really strongly about this, you can upload the paper somewhere and I can judge the material better. Econ is one of Harvard’s most popular majors, and it’ll take a lot to impress.
