Hey guys! I’m applying to Duke Regular Decision, but I am trying to finish up my application by the priority deadline. I participated in an independent research project this semester and I was wondering if Duke would accept a submission of the report or maybe even just the abstract? The Common App questions only refer to artistic supplements. Would I need to just email it in? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
This is a good question to email your admissions representative for. My guess is that it wouldn’t hurt. Keep in mind that admissions readers are flooded with material to read, so really only submit it if you feel it makes a substantial point.
They don’t want to read reports that are submitted for school-work. If the independent project is of high quality and worthy of external peer-review publication, then it would be of interest. Just my guess though. Good luck
