supplementary recommendation

<p>Yale "strongly discourages" sending in extra recommendation, but is flexible if i really do want to send in one. Is it bad to send in a supplement rec even if I know the rec will offer insights my teacher recs won't?</p>

<p>What form should I use for the supplement rec - Another teacher form, or just a business-type letter on a sheet of paper?</p>

<p>Just a letter on your school's letterhead (or some letterhead if they're affiliated with an institution) will suffice.</p>
