Do colleges that require supplements to the common app release them at the same time as the Common Application itself (August 1st I believe). If not, when are they generally made available? (I'm specifically interested in Yale, Brown, JHU, and Tufts).

Can anyone help out? I thought this was a straightforward question…

Yes, it is a pretty straightforward question :D.

Certain schools release them before the August 1st date. I don’t think Yale has released theirs yet. However, I’ve heard that their required essay has stayed the same for some time, whereas their “short takes” do change sometimes. In terms of Brown, JHU, and Tufts, I’m not sure if their supplements have been released yet.

Generally though, you should check their undergraduate admissions site to see if there is any news regarding supplements. Sometimes schools have admission blogs that you could check. I know that UVA has an admission blog in which it used to release supplement essay questions for Fall 2013. If that doesn’t give you any tangible results, Google is always your best friend :D.

Alright thanks. I know that Yale’s required essay has constant, so I’ve started thinking about that one. And I know Brown’s has changed the past few years so I’ve ignored it. I hope they are all released soon so I can just do them and stop worrying!

Yeah, I wish they were all released already :/

Tufts released theirs, if anyone cares
