For the two supplements:

In a short paragraph, please briefly elaborate on one of your extracurricular activities or work experiences.

Describe your academic interests and how you plan to pursue them at USC. Please feel free to address your first- and second-choice major selections.

How long should each supplement be (word count-wise)?
Thanks!

With many applications in our past, I can’t be sure… but doesn’t it limit the amount you can put in there? Try pasting something in and see if it cuts it off then do a character count.

The limit on each essay is 250 words.

Yeah, each of those have a 250 word limit. It doesn’t explicitly say it, but I copy-and-pasted sample text of 251 words in each box and it said to remove 1 word to be within the 250 word maximum.

I thought it was 1000 Characters for both the supplements and 500 words for the Personal Statement … Don’t quote me thought cause I got in before the common app updated …

Just to be clear:
Once you’re logged into the common app, click on the colleges tab, then the USC tab. Now, click on the “Writing Supplement” tab. On the righthand side you’ll see a column titled “Help Center”.

In there is a subject called “Short Answers”. It reads, “Your short answers should be approximately a paragraph and no more than 250 words.”
