how do you organize all your stuff for classes? is it optimal? im probably just gonna have a folder for every subject, unless i have a binder for a few. I was gonna have one of those file folder things but its harder to sort through stuff. and do you use a single subject notebook for each class, 5 subjects to use for multiple classes? Looseleaf paper? Im very indecisive. lol.

Black presentation 0.5" binders work for me. Keep 4 or 5 sections, and clean out your extra papers regularly. You won't be able to keep much loose-leaf paper in it, but you can refill; it'll hold about 20 sheets + your tabs and other papers.

do you mean for one subject? hmm i just dont wanna have a huge bulky backpack.

The file folders are useless. Things get 'lost'. STicking papers in a notebook and filing them later that night into the proper binder is much better.

Having a binder for each class (except math, which is a graph spiral) with a notebook inside the binder is best.

oh lol you're worried about the backpack. I used to be worried about the backpack, too. Then I realized there's no easy way to circumvent the 100-pound backpack. it's a sign of dorkiness that i happen to embrace.

Usually, I take 0.5" for your less paper-oriented classes, like math, etc., and combine them with another. So about 2 or 3 subjects per binder. Don't worry, they are very light.

I'm such a hypocrite

so do you keep the binders at home? and like file the papers in them each day when you arrive home? I just dont know about small notebooks because i fill them up quickly and i have multiple ones for a class they get lost easilly, etc.

bumpppp
does anyone just use folders?

I bring both binders (I use two) to school, and since we're allowed to carry around our backpacks, I bring both. Yes, just file them into junk -> pile or need -> sort.

I prefer binders; you can get much more organized, and you have quick access to whatever specifically you are looking for - notes, grammar, vocabulary, homework, etc.,

I'm going to use a folder and notebook for almost every class. I'm maybe going to use one binder for every subject, but most likely not. School begins next Tuesday, so I'm still waiting on what supplies teachers want.

I have a 1" binder per class, a 1 subject notebook and YES a folder, color cordinated of course.

EXCEPT math which we are required to set it up a certain way with like 10 sections, so I have a 1 1/2" binder, no notebook (not allowed) and a folder.

For my AP Euro class, I also have a 1 1/2" binder... its just easier that way.

I have binders, with color coordinated notebooks, for most of my subjects, and then notebooks for a couple others. I take really thorough notes, and am very particular about keeping all my notes and previous assignments.

any particular brand notebooks? five star? or does it not matter?

Five-Star tend to be a bit expensive; I use the 3-subject Grad Recycled notebooks. They are very wide and narrow lined, so you can fit twice on the same paper.

Or, you can go with the $.10 notebooks. We just bought 20 yesterday :)

I bounce around from brand to brand, but basically I look for ones with ruling that I like, are spiral bound, preferrably have three whole punches, and don't have sort of diary-ish paper (shiny, slicker paper that it's hard to write on with pencil)

I use 6 1" binders with a lot of loose-leaf paper. I have dividers too so I'm am pretty organized.

I go to University

And I thought I would be all cool and get those ten cent spirals and some paper folders.
I never was allowed to use spirals when I was a kid, because it was against the school rules?!

First day of classes (I do the online opp at my uni) I found out that one of my classes has a collective total of 500 notes and the other one has over 400 notes. And that is before even factoring in outlines form the text and journal articles. Or even any Cornell note taking type of things you might do with the class notes.

So I had to buy two four inch binders and I bought an index divider for every week of the term.

All I know with y'all younger students is that binders are better than those file folder, accordion files. Those do not hold up when you start doing hard core studying at all.

I use this and am happy.

I use one Five Star three-subject notebook each semester for notes from all classes, and one folder for loose papers.
