Michigan State University is at the top of my college list. If I go there, I will apply to the Eli Broad School of Business, and I'm thinking about majoring in Supply Chain Management. But first I have a lot of questions. How difficult is the major? I'm not making my decision based on this, I just think its good to know. What are classes like? What is the workplace like? How are the job prospects in this field? MSU is around 1st in the nation in SCM so they should have a lot of recruiters lined up.

Does anybody know more about this major?

I don’t have personal experience, but from what I’ve heard from friends (went to a strictly-business school), the major is as difficult or simple as any other business major. There are a lot of job options in logistics, supply chain management, operations research, etc. that you would be prepared to work in, so job prospects are great since this major is still new-ish, relative to those of finance, accounting, and marketing. The workplace depends on where you choose to work. I’d look at the BLS link below and look at related careers, see what you like. The last link is probably the best since the website is centered around supply chain management.
