I’m yet to hear from Brown myself, but I was wondering if there were any other surfers applying. RI has good waves and It would be cool to find a fellow surfer (given I am accepted).

I'm applying; I'm from socal and can surf a bit but I'm definitely not "good" at all yet.
Definitely open to learning more and getting better though - especially in college :)

It's a little hard to surf in Wisconsin, but I surfed a lot when we went on vacation in Hawaii

There is a Brown Surfing Club. Waves here are better than Connecticut but I don't know how great they get as I've not spent too much time out on the beaches in RI. I imagine out by Newport there are some areas with nice waves, considering the Breakers area, although that's all small, constantly choppy water.

OMG R U SERIOUS?? Surfing is my life until i moved to where I am..OMG why is brown so perfect :(

Hey rioben, I'm a surfer living in socal. Surfed all my life. and applying ED to Brown. Hope you get in brada!

swellsurfer, where do you surf? i mean which beach(es)

Huntington, Newport, Salt Creek, San Clemente. Seal Beach (only when its freakishly pounding). I live in Long Beach

heey guys i too am a surfer and i'm applying ed to brown. anyhow if we all do get in we should for sure paddle out together sometime and try to get a lay of the land as far as the surf in RI goes. anyways im stoked to see that there are other surfers out there.

take it easy!!
