Surprise interview

Up untill yesterday, the interview box in mymit told me that there was no counsellor available and so my interview has been waved. Today, I log in and find this :
"About Your EC & Interview

The deadline to have your interview has officially passed (12/15). You may still contact your Educational Counselor, but we cannot guarantee that he/she will still have availability. (Sometimes EC's are able to be accommodating even beyond the deadlines.)

Please note that EC assignments change occasionally. If you've already had your interview, don't worry if you notice a change in the EC assigned to your area (listed on your MyMIT homepage).
"
Any ideas as to what I should do?
Thanks

Oh..and it also gives me the details of an educational counsellor.

If you had no EC listed before but there is now one listed in your area, and you are willing to make the time for an interview, I'd recommend contacting the EC and letting them know these details and your interest. IF they are still able to schedule an interview, it would be worth your while to have one. If they are unable to schedule you, which would be understandable at this point, you might ask the EC what they'd recommend in terms of ensuring the earlier (mis-)information in your MyMIT is properly noted in your folder. (There is a difference between having your interview waived, and choosing not to have an interview if offered one, I believe.) Good luck!
