Surprising UofM Transfer Decision?

So I applied to UofM for my freshman year and was wait listed and later rejected. Had a 28 ACT, 3.79 GPA : Understandable.

This year I am at Loyola Chicago. As a freshman first semester, I got a 3.96 GPA taking 17 credits, all science, writing, etc. (no blow-offs, very pre-med track based). In addition, I was part of
Alpha Epsilon Delta (pre-med society),
volunteered at RIC (#1 Rehab hospital in the country),
had an essay actually published at Loyola,
was placed on the Dean's List,
invited to the National Society of Collegiate Scholars,
and was permitted to take a senior level Neuroanatomy course and begin undergraduate research.

Through all of that and what I thought was a flawless semester, I still was rejected for transfer Fall 2010. Anyone have any insight?? I'd appreciate it, slightly taken back. Most likely going to Pitt now.

I think most people get their generals out of the way and then transfer…

If you look at their website, UofM states one of their main criteria is how many credits you have completed, with a preference placed on those who will have junior standing after transfering. Also, are you out of state? If you are then this is not a really surprising rejection. UofM is stupid hard for OOS students to get in, just like many of the UC’s

Did pretty much everyone who applied as transfer students got their decisions?

I haven’t got mine… an there is no view decision link on my application status,

Am I screwed or what. **** it is always mid april -
