What is the area directly around Boston College like? My ideal situation is like UCLA or Georgetown. Both feel like part of a big, exciting city, and have really cool city neighborhoods with restaurants and shops right next to one side of campus. Is BC like that? Does it feel like part of Boston, even though it is in Chestnut Hill? Or does it feel really suburban?

BC is nestled in a pretty affluent single family high density neighborhood that borders the 4-5 story apartment neighborhoods of Boston. One side of campus borders more cool neighborhoods and restaurants You can see the Boston downtown skyline from some of the campus and its 15-30 minutes by MTBA to downtown. The other side neighbors single family homes with many beautiful streets, and homes.

So its not suburban and not in the middle of the city.
