<p>What is the surrounding town like? Is there a lot to do? Nice places to go? Do people go to bars/night clubs?? Or do kids just spend time on campus?? I heard its a small town but I wanna know more about it. </p>

<p>I’ve lived in State College my whole life and I love it. The downtown area has a bunch of stores, shops, bars and some clubs for dancing and whatnot, but at the same time, it’s not too much, which is nice. The surrounding area is definitely rural, but it is not the stereotypical rural area. There is plenty to do on campus and off I would highly recommend visiting!</p>

State College is the quintessential college town. It’s got great shops, restaurants, yet it’s still quaint. It literally borders the campus, so you just walk right down into the town. You should most definitely pay a visit to really get a feel for the town/campus. The surrounding area is very rural, but there’s really no need to go anywhere else, it’s all there and everyone loves it. That’s why they call it Happy Valley.</p>
