how are the chinese and korean language courses?? would it be too much to take both during my first year?]]

I would say that if you are a beginning student in either language than yes, it would definitley be way too much to take both your first year. All beginning language courses are intensive, meaning they meet every single day, and are hard! Also, beginning language courses are often two semesters long, and you usually have to take both semesters in order to get any credit. But as a bonus, you get five or six credits per course instead of four. At any rate, Chances are your advisor will fear for your health and won't allow you to take both Chinese and Korean (unless you're at an advanced level in one or the other) right away.
