Portsmouth Abbey, Tabor Academy, Wheeler School

Yes! I’m a senior this year at the Abbey and feel that I will be able to breeze through college next year

For those of you who haven’t visited… it has a gorgeous campus right on the water in Portsmouth, RI. They gave me a decent merit scholarship for four years. When I revisited I really felt like I belonged there (a little cliche, but true). I love walking to the dining hall or back to the dorm and having teachers and other students say hi to you or ask you how you are. It has a great sense of community I know it’s not one of the “HADES”, but seriously, it’s the same sort of thing as the Ivy League colleges… name isn’t everything. I honestly have been incredibly challenged and have had opportunities that I never would have had at a public school.

Hey I currently am attending St.Paul’s School! I chose St.Paul’s out of exeter, andover and groton…

I’m really happy with my choice. I’ve made a lot of great friends, the classes are everything that I expected and better, I’ve also been able to try a lot of new things and meet all different kinds of people. LOVE IT!

we do have a great campus, my sister and brother in college are jealous… and we have great academics and extracurriculars and great opportunities and the well deserved excellent reputation… but i think a lot of schools have that i honestly think the community is really unique. When i went to other schools (not going to mention names) i perceived a really stressed environment and just saw a lot of tired kids. I think we’re a relaxed and nurturing school that finds a balance between intensity (which i like) and the fact that we’re still in high school. Honestly, I love the people at my school and I love the atmosphere and how I feel when I walk around the campus. That’s what I looked at during revisits cuz all the schools are great you just have to figure out which one you’ll fit best in. For me it was St.Paul’s
but definitely go to revisits because that’s where i got a better idea of where was best for me

I got into Middlesex, St Mark’s, St George’s, Rivers, and Brooks. I am currently a boarding junior girl at Middlesex.

I am very happy! The hardest decision I’m currently facing is choosing which classes I should take as a senior out of the many that interest me. I am involved in both sports and arts, just like I wanted…I have great friends and know many faculty members of the school well. This may not be too relevant to you high school applicants yet, but I feel that I will be extremely well prepared for college.

All of the schools I applied to had around 350-380 kids (Rivers might have more but they have a middle school). I knew I wanted to go somewhere small, and after going to revisit days I felt that Middlesex had the most to offer me. The admissions office uses a phrase that goes something like ‘Mx is a small school with big school opportunities’ and that theory is exactly why I chose Middlesex and why I continue to love it.
