Survey: How much time do you guys spend studying each day?

I am a junior who is taking 3 AP classes. First quarter is just ending for me. I spend an average of 6 hours a day working on my homework with almost no time for anything else? What about you guys?

1 standard course, 5 honors, 1 AP, freshman, no study hall. 2-2.5 hours of homework, the bulk of which gets done during lunch the day it’s due. No extraneous studying.

I’m also a junior taking 3 ap classes, 2 honors classes, and 2 standard required courses. I would say on most nights, I often spend about 3-4 hours doing homework. Though usually I get lazy and do some the next day in lunch lol.

Im a sophomore taking 2 APs, 5 honors, and 1 regular. Spend about 45 mins-1 hr at home usually.

Wow. I go to a very competitive high school. 4 APs, 1 honors, 1 other. I have 8-12 hours of homework every day
edit-I’m a senior btw

Junior here. 3 APs, 2 Honors, and 1 elective that does give homework. Homework varies by day due to a block schedule, but I find it hard to find time to study. My homework amount can range from 1-4 hours of daily homework (as in, excluding essays, projects, and studying).

I usually don’t study for something during the week, as I’m too busy, so I do most of my studying on the weekends (though I will study for AP Chem as much as I possibly can)

I am a freshman so I just study the day before a test or tests for about 2 hours and do homework for about 3hours in total every week.

I’m a sophomore, taking 1 AP, 5 Honors, 1 Regular (required), and Band.
I spend about 1-3 hours a day doing homework, and if I’m studying then add an hour or so.
However, I plan on making my schedule so I never have to do outrageous amounts of homework like a previous poster said 8-12 hours. I will take the most rigorous course load available but I am heavily involved in other ECs that take time as well.

^ Good idea haha. It’s also just part of living where I live. Everyone is extremely competitive and the class rigor and homework load is ridiculous. Best of luck to you, don’t end up like me! lol

Maybe I should be more productive in my work. I usually get nothing done on Fridays and Saturdays because I procrastinate. Need to get rid of that habit!

My daughter is in seventh grade. She is taking all advanced classes, except for Theatre and Dance. She spends around 2 hours a night doing homework. She uses all available class time and goes to the Media Center during lunch to do homework.

Junior taking 4 APs plus Calculus 3 through dual-enrollment. Average time I spend: 20 minutes

8-12 hours? You need to re-evaluate your life, seriously

I’m a Sophomore taking 2 AP’s (Psychology and World History) and 2 Honors (Chemistry and English 3) I usually only have about 2 hours a week for AP World and 2 hours a week for Psych. The other classes I can get done with about an hour a day.

senior
7 APs - 30 mins
1.5 hours on days when there’s 3 tests the next day.
I spend like 4 hours every weekend doing homework to prepare for the coming week so I don’t have to do it during the week

I’m a junior in four APs, and I probably spend ~three-four hours a night on studying. I have a forty-five minute study hall, and another free period that I, uh, probably don’t use to its full potential. Most kids at my school work till midnight or later, though, so I’m pretty lucky.

I’m a senior in regular classes.
I don’t study, unless I have a test. But, I have great grades.

Junior. 4 APs, one honors. It depends on the days (block scheduling) and the concepts. Ranges from 2-8 hours, just on those factors? Honors Pre Calculus takes up the most time, AP Chem too, but the variation is large.

Studying? What is that?

I’m a senior taking AP Lang, College Level Spanish, Physics, Trig/PreCalc, Economics, and College Level Pysch. I spend anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours studying and doing homework.
