If money was not a factor, what would be the order in which you would attend the following schools:

Cornell CAS
UPenn CAS
Duke CAS
Columbia College
Dartmouth
Brown
Northwestern CAS
Georgetown CAS
UChicago
Rice
Emory
Vanderbilt CAS

let the poll start

You're asking a current Chicago student who is at her first-choice school, so, my list, given the options you post...

Dartmouth
Emory
Northwestern
Vanderbilt

Georgetown

Cornell
Penn
Duke

My list is based primarily on fit for me. Since they are all excellent schools, I ranked them based on where I thought I would be most comfortable rather than prestige or anything else.

For me,

Dartmouth/Duke/Columbia was my final three options, came down to weather and cost (chose Duke).

let's make this more interesting

let's throw NYU Stern, Tufts, Amherst, Swarthmore, and Williams into the mix

Tufts

Wouldn't ever want to go to Penn, NYU, Emory, Swarthmore, Columbia

Lol for me Chicago (big no), Columbia, NYU Stern, and Swarthmore would not be on my list, although prestige and opportunity might make me pick a place like Swarthmore over a place like Emory or Tufts.

I'll revise my own list, slotting in the new schools.

Not surprisingly, we are polarized on schools like Chicago and Swat (too intense, I'm guessing) and Columbia, Penn, NYU (too urban?). To each his own!

I really have no interest in the last 4, or, for that matter, anything south of Northwestern. I'm attending Amherst (my first choice) though my ultimate decision was between Amherst and Williams.
