The problems I see:

Your attitude is not “I messed up, how can I make things better?” Your attitude is “The school was overly harsh on me for a simple mistake, how can I make this disappear?” And that simply will not work for you.

You don’t actually understand what you did wrong. It is not the case that “If I had just written one little citation, I wouldn’t need to post this.” While taking ideas from other sources and acting like you made them up yourself is also bad, there is no way for anyone to ever prove you actually did that, so you will never be expelled for it. What you did wrong was copying text from a source and using it as your own. Even if you cite the source, that is plagiarism.

You don’t get how academic sanctions work. You were going to be expelled, but you managed to argue it down to a 2 year suspension, and you’re now trying to avoid having to actually serve that suspension. Even if you truly are sorry for what you did, this would indicate the opposite to anyone who reads your application.
