I use DeVry as an example of an ABET accredited college that someone might look at and say its “good enough” since apparently all ABET colleges are…not. Almost all engineering graduates from MIT/Stanford (which has some engineering majors which are not ABET accredited) will have multiple job offers at premium wages. Graduates from flagship/well known universities/colleges will have premium job offers dependent on their GPA. Graduates from unknown/not well known colleges may or may not have job offers at all. This is the truth of the matter.
BTW, I’m not saying that ABET accreditation is not important, it is important for those schools that need their program validated. Not all ABET accredited schools are equal, that is a fallacy.
