Suspension not on transcript.

Hi,

My parents and I are facing a slight dilemma regarding the Common Application and my past disciplinary history. I was suspended from my previous school during the start of my Junior year and due to this and other social factors, I switched high schools completely. However, my week-long suspension at my previous school is not on my transcript and my current school's counselor has said he will not report it since there is no record of the suspension anywhere. It literally looks like I just switched high schools on my transcript.
So my question is, should I still check "Yes" when the question on the CommonApp asks if I have ever been suspended? IF I do check "No," what are the possible future repercussions? This has literally been eating me alive for the past couple months and any answers/personal experience stories would be highly appreciated.

Cheers,

openbook–colleges expect you to answer this question honestly.

You must answer “yes,” because it is the ethical, moral thing to do.

Also, it will continue to eat you alive for the rest of your life if you lie.

My son checked yes ( on an application that aksed had he EVER been suspended; he was in eight grade), and it did not seem to affect his results there.
