Hey so I need a quick answer. I got suspended from my community college for weed my first semester in October. My parent's think I got suspended for alcohol, which unfortunately they see as less of a threat and I'm assuming other schools do too so I was just wondering if I could stick to the same story when colleges ask me about the situation? Can my community college tell other colleges exactly why I got suspended, or does it still remain confidential? I know it remains confidential from my parents but what about other schools? If so, I find it a lot easier to stick to the alcohol story. If my community college can tell them every detail, though, then obviously I rather go with the truth. Please let me know thnk u so mush xoxo hugzz n kiZZes

I’d imagine that the details of your suspension would be available for the transfer institutions to see if they so desired.

Tell the truth about this in your applications. If you lie, it can backfire in very big and ugly ways in the future.

And try to find a way to come clean with your parents about this too.

I’ve just got to ask this:

If you aren’t smart enough to know that you shouldn’t be smoking weed at a time or location where that violates your CC’s policies, what makes you think you are ready for college right now?

Instead of studying, why don’t you look for a job and give yourself a couple more years to grow up emotionally before you head back to school? There really is nothing wrong with taking that kind of break.
