I was suspended 4 times in my sophomore year. Various things, such as smoking, drinking, fighting, cussing out the teacher. I was just going through some rough times. My parents split up and then my mom died. not saying that as an excuse, because I realize that there is no excuse for my actions.

not only might the suspensions hurt your chances but so will your complete lack of ECs. Harvard can choose any students they want. You would have to write a very special application to interest the Harvard AdCom with no ECs. Don't count on it. Find a safety you love.

Your suspensions are going to hurt you with probably most first tier schools, so make sure that you have some solid safeties. While I think that adcoms would have sympathy for the challenges you faced, they still might be wary of admitting a student who resorted to drinking , fighting and other aggressive behavior when under stress.
