Who here has been suspended atleast once?

back in middle school I did get a couple of "in-school" suspensions and one "regular" suspension. in-schools were actually nice because instead of going to class I had the whole day to work on projects and read. my suspension wasn't really a punishment because it was on the last day of school.

prob no one. this is CC. everyone here is 3.8+ GPA's with 2100+ SAT's. you kidding me? except me i dont have those stats unfortunately.

I wish I had the above stats.

cough not me cough

then lets say the stats are 2000+ sats and 3.5+ gpa. thats more reasonable, however im still not on that last. literally i swear 97% of the active cc'ers have that stat as i listed above.

Jim, I was responding to the main topic at hand, not your post.

I have, for calling someone gay in 9th grade. Apparently, it's sexual harassment... How do you tink this will affect me at UCs?

there are probably going to be other applicants with worse records. just don't get into any more trouble

i've been suspended for 1 day once. i dont wanna say why

Aw, spill the beans!

Yea, it couldn't have been that bad for only 1 day. Mine was six days long.

yea

me and a friend were throwing things at each other and apparently that's some sort of violence

I was suspended for one day this previous year. My friend and I ditched a Jewish class (I go to a religious Jewish school where half the day is Jewish classes and the other half is secular) to study for a test on Hamlet we had that day. We knew we'd get in trouble, but the worst we thought would be detention. Being suspended never even crossed our minds.

Will this screw me over for colleges?

dude, you're jewish, you're already screwed

I got detention from being late to class. I was supposed to get two because I didn't have my student ID on me when I was being given a late pass at the main office. But I was crying, so they let me off with one, because they said they could tell I wasn't the type of person who did these things often. Then on the day of my assigned detention, I had a field trip with my Latin class the the Metropolitan Museum of Art. So I went to my class vice-principal and explained my situation. While he was asking me to spell my name (which is ridiculously long), he said that he had never seen me get into trouble before, he would excuse me from detention, as long as he never saw me in his office again.

I'm so happy that I'm a girl...

I got an in school suspension once in 5th grade! I was so disgusted. Someone threw a crayon at me, and I threw it back. Ugh.

In Middle School (7th grade) a teacher jokingly said he was going to write up some thing (can't remember the name) because some girl accused me of calling her a puta. It was like a whole big mockery. I cried, and now I am embarrassed. lol.

I also got a detention for FORGETTING my school's ID badge once. That policy is absolutely ridiculous. Missing class because I forgot my ID badge (and it was my first offense) is ludicrous. Perhaps I should try and get that policy revoked. It's trifling.

my best friend and i got suspended for 2 days in 8th grade for making a burn book...we were smart enough to put "if this book is lost, please contact our names" :)

personally, i didn't think it was mean at all, esp. if you've seen mean girls. nowhere near that caliber.

srsly. until humans blow themselves up, jewish people will be the worlds favorite scapegoat.
