I agree with much that has been said re: Susquehanna. If you are looking for business programs in PA, I would look at schools like Villanova U., St. Joseph's U., Drexel U, LaSalle U. - these will be more exp. however than state schools. But I think all of them have AASCB accreditation.
You could also check out U of Pittsburgh, too & Penn State U. They will have some good business majors as well & may be a little cheaper overall.

Thank you irishbird. We are not looking at a Pa. school necessarily. I just wanted a feel for this school; just heard of it and did not know much about it.

why would you say that the school has an outstanding business ,science and music programs.the professors are great and their internships are terrific. maybe the aid is not to your needs but keep in mind that most schools aren’t giving what they used to.if the school is not your cup of tea that is fine but to say that the students are second rate is really unfair how are you making that judgement every student I have met is nothing short of outstanding and the ones that graduated this May graduated with jobs in hand.No you are correct it is not an IVY school.in my humble opinion all schools are not IVY and most students need schools to attend Susquehanna is a darn good school with some wonderful students and staff the campus is stunning. At least the school doesn’t have snooty people like at surrounding schools.Yes Susquehanna is preppy we love it that way look at Bucknell,W&L,Richmond, all the MA schools most of the southern schools all preppy. No it is not a crazy and wild over priced college town so what the university does a lot to keep the students entertained.observations are wonderful but there is no need to say students are second rate since obviously you have no intention of going to the school.Susquehanna has very high profile CEO’s that are graduates.whoever is interested visit for yourself one persons opinion should not sway anyone.I personally know professors and students as well as alumni at Susquehanna it they are all wonderful.

And what would you recommend for students who will not be accepted to Nova and others like it? have you seen the prices and the % of rejections.Good Luck to all students at all levels.

This thread if FIVE years old. My daughter, who I referenced above is now 25 and graduated from College three years ago. Northeast Mom’s youngest son is now in College in another state. I’m not really sure why you brought this back up just to kind of bash the posters.

Chippy = ■■■■■, see previous posts.

thumper1 is correct about the town the town is not safe Burlington is not a place to be out at night. elon is hugh with greek life and there is nothing to do otherwise, lots of ADHD drugs you don’t see it but it’s there.the school has poured a lot of energy into building their profile geared to money areas like the northeast interships are mainly no matter what they tell you based in the south.elon gets a lot of applications therefore they reject alot of students. academically it’s managable once your in. the campus is all open with pretty buildings all far walks from eachother.yes you need a car or you stay on campus. In 2008 no one knew where who or what elon was any body could get in with any grades forward to 2010 much harder. They have two big majors that are popular the rest are non-existant.I never see campus safty it’s there but never around we have a resident bum mental patiant that on occasion has gotten into the dorms and slept on kids beds yup no joke.the school knows but doesn’t do anything about it once it was a girls room too.so what ever is important to you reseach every thing talk to the students they will tell you the truth.very nice school but there is a lot of smoke and mirrors too. lets not forget that kids make their own fun college is about getting an education an expensive one at that so in my opinon parties and off campus bars should not be the focus. Also elon is not known as a party school but the frats and sor are not sitting on there hands drinking pop either.Good Luck.

ok chippy - do you have multiple personalities? In the past few days - you have posted as a Mom whose son is going to Susquehanna, as a student at Furman and as a Hispanic male hs student. Now you apparently attend Elon as well. Perhaps your screen name should be Sybil?

Good one rockvillemom!

Put Chippy on “Ignore”, then as Rodney said on another thread you won’t get a headache seeing the run on rambling no punctuation stuff.
