Suxs for me...I am already rejected now

Brown sent me a letter saying that they lost 2 of my teacher recs, so I sent those to them, but now, I just found out that they lost one of the 2 I sent it, and now its probably too late to send anything it for the 3rd time, especially since its spring break for me, and I have no school all next week…So because my file is incomplete, I am already rejected…it makes me so mad…I guess I can kiss Brown goodbye…

Have your teachers fax it, anything

I dont even know how to contact my teacher, I will try and send her an email on the school website, but I dont think it will work......

also, decisions come out in like 2 weeks, so they probably already have looked over my stuff, and since its imcomplete, rejected me.....

neelesh don't give up; could you find out your teacher's home phone number in the phonebook? This is high priority - try to call her and tell her to fax it immediately to Brown. If it's spring break, she probably won't be checking her school email anyway, so call her directly at home; it's not too late : )

Definitely call her. Also, call the admissions office on a weekday between 3-5 and ask to speak to an admissions officer about it.

also, if you cannot find your teachers number in the phonebook, try to get ahold of your principal, he/she she should have a way of contacting your teacher.

they wont reject you because your application is incomplete, especially since its their fault (they're the ones that lost it). the admissions staff are people too, they're not cold hearted machines lol

calm down

just send it ASAP or see if your teacher can fax it

either way it wont hurt your chances if they dont get it, brown will just look at your app minus one rec

every single recommendation i had BLEW B-L-E-W BLEW (i know because i read them all after the fact lol), and it didn't hurt me. recommendations don't weigh in so much that it will hurt your chances if you're missing one.

Good luck man, I think it will work out. At worst thet might waitlist you.

Brown's admissions office seems like it loses half the stuff that's sent to it.

I love Brown but no one seems very responsive to me.

thanks for all your responses. I really appreciate it...I will try emailing my teacher today, because i finally found her school email, and if that doesn't work, try looking her up in the phone book (how many woodards could there be in idaho?) or something else....

I will also call Brown tomorrow to find out what else I can do...

Neelesh, I feel for you. But I gotta tell you, I don't like your attitude. You wanna succeede....exhaust every avenue, make every phone call, do whatever you have to do...but never resort to fatalism...never!!

Yeah. Try everything. Anything at this point may help! Don't lose your hope yet. You still got time. And considering your circumstances, it's clearly not your fault that things are being lost. I think the adcoms will be understanding. GOOD LUCK! :)
