SVA admission and interview HELP and advice PLEASE!

Ok here's my story in short>>>> I've been drawing all of my life, at a young age I was really into comics and comic art>>I also ran a couple of my own airbrush shops> Recently I've found a burning desire to tattoo and oil paint> I also want to get my pencil technique more polished and defined/ I have choosen New Yorks School of Visual Arts/ Mind you in my High School days I was completely bored and wasn't planning on nor did I know I would ever need or use school as a tool/ Now that Im pushing 30 and I'm really motivated to go to school for Art, I need some expertise in the whole admission and interview technique for this school/ I need all the help I can get. Is it very difficult to get into SVA? Does this school even have academics and if so what courses? What are some of the questions asked at the interview? How complex does the portfolio have to be? Do I need my own Laptop and software? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I ringing my hands hoping my GPA will allow me to get admitted, thanks for all advice......

Oh yeah for all you kids out there: Do your best in school even if you swear you wont need further schooling, or you think your to cool and popular to do well in school> Use me as an example you never know where your going to end up down the road in your life...

tat2lifer, it isn’t difficult to get into SVA. If you have a decent portolio, you could get in there with 900-1000 SATs ( M and CR). Just follow exactly what they want in a portfolio and submit it in the way that they ask.
