Want to be a 2d animation. Which has the better program my needs? Thank you. And any other school suggestions that aren’t CalArts? Currently leaning SVA.
Those are ALL great schools! You really can’t go wrong! All have great faculty, great reputations, and great job placement/internship potential. So think about where you want to live for 4 years. Do you want to be in a bustling city that is one of the most exciting (and expensive) places to live in the world? Do you want to stay in the slower paced, hot and humid south, in a cute, funky, artsy city that loves it’s college? Do you want to live in New England, in a quaint college town, with all the benefits of having Brown next door, and the ability to take a full liberal arts load? Finally, look at the school’s senior projects and film festivals! That’s ultimately what helped my daughter choose SVA. She saw work that fit with her idea of 2-D animation and felt that the caliber of work would challenge her like no other! I remember walking through the halls with her, and she was blown away by the concept art on the walls done by students. Now her art is on display in those halls!!!
