Hey all,

I've already done a lot of research on Swarthmore College, and the more I read about it the more I really want to attend. It's been on my list of schools to apply to for a while, but now it's beginning to seem like unless by some miracle I get accepted by Princeton, my top choice left is Swat. Here is my information:

White male
Prospective microbiology major
GPA: 4.03 on a 4.3 system
SAT: 2290 (800m, 770w, 720cr)
Subject Tests: 800 math 2, 760 chem, 750 bio
Course load: highest level available in school, lots of APs with 5s on AP tests
Class rank: Top 10% officially, but know that I'm currently 2nd of 190
High School is a respected public school near Boston.
Extracurriculars: two sport varsity athlete, captain and league all star for golf. Was chosen as the New England representative at an elite scholarship-only golf camp in Florida last summer. Section leader in both the school jazz and concert bands. NHS member, plenty of service projects. I've worked various summer jobs.

The kicker here is that I've been heavily recruited to play golf at Swarthmore. I've spent a weekend down there with the team and the coach has called me weekly making sure I'm still considering Swat, apparently I'm one of his top 3 recruits. It's hard to find a lot of info on athletes' odds of getting into the college because it's so small and doesn't have football, but I do know that a soccer player (who never started a game at Swat) from my school got in a few years back with a 3.4 gpa and 1900 SAT.

Does anyone have a guess as to my realistic odds? The coach said he thinks I will be accepted, but let's face it, Swarthmore is an extremely hard school to get into. Any response would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!
