hey. anybody here? any news?

not yet…still waiting on the mail man…and for my mum to get home so i can open it…

i’m thinking around 12-1 I should now the fate that the admissions office picked for me.

Yes, I too am trying to remain calm. The three shirts in my dresser drawer this morning were George Washington U, Connecticut College, and Swarthmore. I decided to wear Conn Coll–playin’ it safe. (-;

And hjohnston - You call your mummy “Mum” as well? I thought I was the only one to do that!

nice…I’m just going to stay in my pajamas…that way when it’s bad news I can just go back and lay in my bed.

LOL…Wow, that’s smart attire selection! (Thinks he should have done that himself…)

you always have time to change back! haha

Nah, my dressing routine is just like submitting an application on the Common App. Once you’re done, you’re done. There’s no going back.

(I know this well; I forgot to single-space my essay, and they wouldn’t let me go back and change it!)

hahahahahahaha…
they really didn’t let you change it?

Yeah! I submitted it the day before the deadline, and realized my mistake. So I emailed them and they informed me that “When you submit your online application, it is electronically sealed and submitted to the institution. Once the submission is completed, the application cannot be modified and is the property of that institution.”

While I could understand that they wouldn’t let me change it for Swat–as I had already signed the agreement and everything–they won’t let me fix the mistake before it goes to the other schools. And I haven’t submitted my application to those schools yet…

Oh…I broke my leg last month, so I am staying in bed all the time. It is easy for me to hide in my warm blanket and cry secretly when the bad news comes out…but anyway, I am ready for any consequences. I’ve found other great places to go.

swat - wow…that suck!

Math - I’m sorry about the broken leg! Yea, I am bracing myself for the worse.

I got my mail and no letter again. Also, you can change your mistake with the common app, you just have to create a new version for the schools you did not submit to yet.

swat - wow…that suck!

treing - where do you live?

Atlanta. And I can see from the post marks on our other mail that we already received mail sent on Wed. from California!

hmm…mine may come today…I’m in VA…so I hope so!
