Coase…While accepting that all methods of communicating have the potential for error, you have to acknowledge that the damage possible with email is infinitely greater and more immediate. The only way to ensure accuracy with any method is vigilant process checking. Email has several hidden elements that regular mail does not. Errors will always occur regardless of the method of communication (even phone calls to each candidate has the potential for error). The more efficient the method, the more potential for errors and irregularities. I don’t think it’s too much to expect for $60 or $70 for the admissions department to get it right and spend the money ensuring accidents are very very rare.

My application got deferred to April

CZERNB what sport were you being recruited for? Did the coach communicate with you regarding admissions?

Accepted. International. So Happy. Good luck to everyone :)

northeastdad, I was getting recruited for baseball. The coach told me that my application would have backing from the coaching staff but he could not make any guarantees regarding being accepted.

Just so you know. Last year my international son received the email at least a day or two after the Fed Ex package came. They didn’t come the same day. Of course that doesn’t mean that things can’t change.
