the photo with a few drops of water on the glasses is AMAZING. i really like your work.

p.s. interview at swat today in the afternoon...hope it goes off without a hitch

cjsb: how did the interview go?

it was fine--a casual conversation (my interviewer is new to the admissions office this year). i think i was expecting him to be more impressed than he was, which is understandable considering how many fascinating people apply to the school. when i sent my application in, i was feeling pretty good about everything, but after the interview and recieving some tests scores i feel kinda low. we'll see what happens.

cjsb:

I can't think of any reason you should "feel low" about your chances at Swarthmore. Only time will tell on that, but I doubt they have a lot of applicants in the ED pile with your perfectly fine test scores who have lived in Tanzania and are fluent in Swahili.

I know that the waiting is brutal and you'll alternate optimistic one day to pessimistic the next. But, don't beat yourselves up. If it's any consolation, I think that 7 of 8 Swarthmore ED applicants from College Confidental got accepted last year -- and, if I recall, that included some with SATs in the 1300s, some in the 1400s, and some in the 1500s.

thanks for the encouraging thoughts ID.
