Essays (rating 1-10, details): My essay was kind of basic and I wish I had done something more unique. It does reflect me well, but it seems as if everyone writes about being cut from a sports team. I guess I thought that I had taken it farther with my interpretation of my reaction to the problem.

Strengths: Motivation, ability to handle pressure, organized, not a procrastinator, passionate about learning for the sake of learning, never cheated in my life, felt like I fit the Swarthmore culture, loved the school to pieces
Weaknesses: Afraid of failure, involved in many things without being incredible in one thing
Why you think you were accepted/rejected/waitlisted? I honestly do not know, I guess it was luck of the draw. There isn’t much else I could have done. Swarthmore was my favorite school, my top choice, my dream college. However, I do have the disadvantage of being a white student from a public high school in a competitive state. I wish that I had gotten in, but I just have to trust that I will do fine wherever I go and that in the end, its not the heartbreaking thing it seems to be right now.
General Comments: Congrats to everyone who has gotten in to Swarthmore! I hope you love it as much as I do should you choose to go there
