Basically I just sent my ACT scores to all my schools, assuming they would accept them online. Obviously that was a stupid mistake as swat was the only school on the list that doesn't accept them online and the ACT people told me they won't mail the scores until at least Wednesday. So now I am freaking out. I submitted them priority. Will it be a big deal that they don't receive them or even get sent on the 1st. Also, my counselor and teacher recs are getting sent on the 2nd online from my school. Will this be detrimental? A mixup happened and the same thing is happening for Pitzer and Wesleyan, both who said it wouldn't be the end of the world. So what do you all think about the late ACT scores and my school info?

It is probably okay. These top schools have thousands of applications to read, and they just look at them as they are complete. It is bad if the application you submit is late. But test scores and school info aren’t completely in your control, and the colleges know that. It should not make any difference – they have plenty of applications to get through reviewing – just the first pass takes several weeks, I think.

Don’t worry about it, these things happen.

As long as they have your part of the application by the deadline, it’s fine if the rest comes in a bit behind.

They sent an email back saying the 2nd was fine for the school stuff. I’m assuming the test scores coming a little late will be okay also.

Swarthmore now indicated online they have received all the recs and such from my school except my high school transcript? Wouldn’t this have been sent with the rest of the stuff my counselor sent? Should I contact them or wait?

I suggest that you wait. They have just reopened and are processing thousands of pieces of paper. They will not have everything sorted out for a month or so.

My ACT scores and transcript are still not in and it’s making me anxious… anyone else have missing items?

Ok so now my test scores and transcript are in. The only two left unchecked are mid-year report (won’t be ready till mid february) and sat subject tests, which I didn’t take/submit. Online it says you don’t need them if you took ACT w/ writing. Can anyone verify?

thirrdplanet, I know it’s hard not to be stressed out at this time of the year but here is your verification of Swat’s policy: Try to relax!
