Swim test during orientation

I was wondering about the swim test during orientation. Like, is it very hard?

I've heard that the swim test is basically to not drown for the alloted amount of time (15 minutes?) - like doing 2 laps and then just treading water. Just what I've been told though...I'm kind of freaking out about it, since I am terrible at swimming.

^The above description is correct

Wow, I didn't know that Swarthmore had a swim test...I knew that Cornell did, though.

It isn't the end of the world if you don't pass the swim test. You have to take a swim course for a semester in lieu of it.

^^And you have to take PE credit anyway, so it's not like that gets in the way of your academics.

Most people just float there. It is exceedingly minor.

So if you don't pass you die? I suppose it saves money that would have gone to paying the swim teacher...

(Yes, this post is a joke.)
