swimmingtest

Just a quick question about the 50(?) yard swimming proficiency test...can I take it anytime during my four years of undergrad? I afraid I'm not even that competent of a swimmer...

Yes, you can take it any time during your four years of undergrad. I've heard that they don't care about form, or proper swimming... just as long as you don't drown. If you need to, you can take a PE course in swimming.

Do you have to do this? Anyone have a link?

you need to pass the swimming test to graduate.

unless you get some sort of medical waiver, i think.

Graduation Requirements

"Physical Education: Each students, unless excused by the Director of Health Services or the Dean of First-Year Students, is required to complete satisfactorily three terms of physical education by graduation. Students must also complete a 50-yard swimming test."

so yea, you have to. at some point.

it's more a 50-yard "don't-drown" test.

its very easy to pass. and yes, you have 4 years if you actually need it. although mostly everyone just does it first thing
