Swiss university or american ivy league?

Assuming all works out PERFECTLY and I get accepted into ivy and top colleges such as MIT etc. Would you consider it better to go to an ivy or to ETH Zurich (where einstein went) for college? ETH Zurich has about the same world ranking as princeton university. It is like a swiss MIT and I want to live in switzerland but my German isn't near good enough yet (if I decide to go there we'll hire a private tutor who'll teach me very quickly). What should I do and what should I keep in mind?

Do you only want to attend a Swiss university because Einstein went there? He was a one-of -a-kind genius. Going there doesn't promise you an IQ of 260.

It seems rather idealistic to me, considering you aren't proficient in German, and you want to learn by a private tutor..learning a foreign language while in your adolescent years is not that simple? Does that seem plausible? I mean you have to learn other subjects as well while struggling to comprehend the language...

And as for internationally well-ranked...it seems many rankings run by European countries (such as THES) do not even recognize this Swiss institution! (Note: Einstein himself probably would have succeeded no matter where he went.)

American universities are still currently ahead of all other universities. You'd definitely get a better education in America.

I understand your desire to study in Europe (considering I really want to study abroad), but rationally speaking, you'd fare better in America.

Why not study abroad for one year or something? You can take German in college, for the language prerequisites, and then study at a European university.

Right now your plan seems too idealistic.
