If you were accepted to the Engineering College, what kind of process do you have to go through to switch into the Computer Science program?

After you are a student, to change majors there is some paperwork and signatures you have to get.

To switch before you even start? Not sure. I would call the Undergraduate Advising department and ask them what to do. The number is here: [Undergraduate Advising Undergraduate Advising](<a href=“Student Success at UMass Amherst”>Student Success at UMass Amherst)

The undergrad admissions CS page is here, this might be a good place to start as well: [UGrad Admission | Department of Computer Science](Becoming a CS Major | Manning College of Information and Computer Sciences | UMass Amherst)

AFAIK, Computer Science is not as selective as Engineering, so you should have no trouble switching.
