Switch college before I get to Cornell?

I have made a terrible decision of having applied to CALS and actually got accepted ED, but I know my true passion lies in humanities though I am also ok with biology. I really don't want to wait another year before switching out since somehow i have heard the rumor that in CALS and other colleges in Cornell, one can only take 1 elective outside one's college each semester. (correct me if i am wrong!) So, has anyone happend to know whether or not i can possibly switch colleges before I go there this upcoming fall. thanks tons !

one can only take 1 elective outside one's college each semester

i don't think that's true... but i could be wrong...

lol on the big Cornell information booklet, on page 21 it says CAS students get to choose 1/3 of courses anywhere in the university. However, on the CALS page it only mentioned that you can choose between a great variety of majors at CALS (and they are soo interesting..), but didn't mention how many courses you can take outside of CALS.

I think you will have to go through an internal transfer after you are at Cornell. Otherwise, people would apply to a school with easier admission standards (like CALS) and then "transfer" that admission to one with higher admission requirements, like A & S. I think, too, that if you are instate and get the tuition break at a contract school that you will have to make up the tuition difference retroactively, although this may have changed. Definitely, ask Cornell. You are in. They won't pull your admission, but I don't think they will let you backdoor into Arts before you even get there.

Haha thx everyone ~~!!! at least I am in , i should feel satisfied .
