What is the process for switching from the school of engineering to letters and science? How easy is it?
I just got the likely letter for UCLA engineering but I'm thinking about switching to L&S.

I don’t have personal experience with it, but from what I’ve heard it isn’t too hard. It’s a /lot/ harder to switch from L&S to HSSEAS because of requirements/major openings/etc.

If they don’t let you change majors now, I know that you can change at summer orientation.

Switching out of engineering to L&S is not going to be a problem at all. You will be able to do this at orientation. But don’t stress over it. Just because you are a student in SEAS they are not going to require you to take any particular classes, nor are you restricted from taking any L&S class you want. So if you don’t get around to changing your major at Orientation it has absolutely no bearing on what classes you can sign up for.
