So I was looking at UC Davis' lower division transfer guidelines. And I can only apply to one college which sadly does not contain the major I really want. Is it any harder to switch majors as a transfer than it would be for a regular student? I figure that since I'm mainly taking core classes freshman year that it will not matter too much as long the majors are not too disconnected from one another, but I have a feeling I'm wrong with this hunch.

You can change your major in the winter quarter, and I believe all students wanting to change their majors have to follow the same guidelines.
