are we allowed to switch majors within the school before we start school??

What do you mean, pinksparkles? Do you mean switch majors with in a school (like from History to Poly Sci in Columbian) or switch schools (like from Columbian to Elliott)?

The answer to the first one is yes, you don’t declare a major until much later. To the second one is maybe. In the case of my daughter they told her to start the year in the school she applied to and make the switch later. You would need to call them.

ya i would like to switch within the columbian school. should i call them now and make the switch? and yes i would also like the eventually switch the elliot school but i believe you can after a year if you make the requirements?

no, theres no reason to call themm because like lightmom said, you do not declare your major until the end of your soph year or beginning of junior year. Plus, you yourself will be the one who picks your classes for the fall, so when class registration comes in july, pick the classes that you want based on what major you want.
